The general format of the book was modernized. A special section on school- community co-operation was added to replace the less attractive advertisements. Full color endsheets were used for the first time. Photography emphasized realism and was almost entirely student work. Staff members attended the fall workshop and the N.I.P.A. convention in the spring. To give identity to their organization, the Lettermen bought sweaters. Other than the banquet sponsored by the Civic Association the most outstanding occurrence was the death and replacement of the popcorn machine.
