Freshmen began their high school careers. Of these twenty- nine, twelve had remained in the class since the first grade. Our class officers for this year were Gail Griffin, president; Linda Rail, vice-president; and Leland McClellan, treasurer. Vonnie Hanson and Helen Beaver were elected Junior Cheerlead¬ ers. The class tried its hand at dramatics with its first play, A Date for Bobby Sox, under the leadership of Mrs. Kramer. We had several parties and went to Crabtree’s ranch for our class picnic. The following fall of 1954, thirty eager Sophomores entered Senior High and were joined by four new members--Du Ann Steinwand, Lorraine Watson, Loretta Watson, and Loren Hill. Our class officers were Loren Hill, president; Leland McClellan, vice-president; Du Ann Steinwand, treasurer; and Gail Griffin, secretary. We were officially welcomed to Senior High with a very cruel initiation by the Seniors. Under the supervision of Mr. Johnson, our class advisor, we picnicked at Wylie Park. Thirty-one confident, experienced Juniors returned to E.H.S. the following year. We elected Meredith Crabtree, president; Billy Ashmore, vice-president; Vonnie Hanson, secretary; and Cora Lee Grenz, treasurer. Miss Onsrud directed us in a play, Trouble in Paradise, which helped us raise money for the prom. Our prom was very colorful and successful with Mardi Gras as its theme. We ended our school year with a picnic at Richmond Park. With a feeling of success at having reached the last year of high school, thirty-two Seniors moved into the two rows of seats by the Senior Assembly windows. We elected Loren Hill as our president, Meredith Crabtree as vice-president, Gail Griffin as secretary, and Dot Nankivel as treasurer. We proved our superiority by initiating and officially welcoming the Sopho - mores to Senior High. We would like to thank the faculty of E.H.S. for their pa¬ tience and guidance through our four years in high school. This Page Sponsored By grenz, standard oil CO.
