05 23 16 5 Christmas Program December 20, 19h9, 22? students in white surplices gave the annual program of Christmas Music in the high school auditorium. The traditional concert of religious music and familiar carols was sung by the grade students and the high school chorus, A faculty committee in charge of decorations and staging included Mrs, Opal- Brouillard, Mrs. Lemana Heckraann, Miss Shirley Motl, Mr. Ray Shelver and Mr, Clark Ringham. Miss Elner, director of the chorus, was in general charge of the program. Donna Mae Van Sickle read the Christmas Story. Shirley Adams and Esther Schaller accompanied at the piano and organ respectively. The title of her oration was A Threat to Our Constitution,” tycati i ' PCtUf, Home 7 ith Father , a comedy in three acts, was presented Friday evening, December 2, by the junior class at eight o ' clock in the high school auditorium. The story of the play revolved around Orel Burgess, a house painter who has been left to rear his family, and has been too indulgent. When the children find their work not to their liking, all come home to father. Dr. Morton Simms, in love with Nan, who keeps house for her father, conceives a plan to persuade them all to go back to work. Cast Morton Simms, a young doctor Danny Slemmons Nan Burgess, Orel ' s eldest daughter ....... Derril Wedell Setti i ' Play, So Very Young , a comedy in three acts, was presented rriday evening, March 21, by the senior class at eight o ' clock in the high school auditorium. The story centers around Ann Chambers, an eighteen-year-old girl, who announces to her parents that she will be married next Wednesday to Pat who works on a ranch in the summer. Her mother weeps and her father raves but she stands firm and decides to elope. She realizes she can ' t build happiness by creating unhappiness, and when her parents realize she has grown to be a woman, they give their consent to her marriage. Cast Ann Chambers, who believes she ' s grown up . . .
