DeYapp. SPEECH AND Speech and dramatic work, under the direc- tion of Miss Minnie Onsrud, began early last fall with the senior girls ' speech night and ended with the senior play on April 8. Miss Margaret Williams, Miss Josephine Wyckoff, and Miss Martha Buck assisted with make-up, staging, and music, respectively. Senior Girls ' Speech Program This program was held on Thursday eve- ning, November 5, in the high school audito- rium, and was under the direction of Miss Minnie Onsrud. Miss Eleanor Gessner coached a one-act play. The play was an up- to-the-minute comedy of America at war filled with mirthful situations, today’s problems, and today’s challenges. The following cast efficiently filled their roles : Charles Hargrove, an American father Victor Strand Edith Hargrove, Hargrove’s wife who boasts of a Mayflower lineage Ruth Beecher Pauline, the youngest in the family.
