As we look back on the road we have traveled, we have lasting memories of meeting classmates — strangers then; old friends now. We have lived and we have learned. Until now, the road we have followed has been pointed out, and we have traveled together. Before us lies a long stretch upon which each in- dividual must chart his own course. As we each go on our separate ways, we must live up to the guiding principles that our parents and teachers have imparted to us. We must strive to set a course with high ideals and a definite purpose. We, the Seniors of ' 43, are happy to graduate,- yet, we have regrets, for never will all of us be together again. The armed services will claim many of our number, and others will be scat- tered. Even so, our commencement isn ' t the last milestone in life ' s drama; it is the traveling of a new road with new friends, new experiences, and new opportunities. And in all these, we should let loyalty be our dominant guiding spirit — loyalty to our school, to ourselves, to high principles, and loyalty to our country and to our Eternal Father. — A. N.
