DRAMATICS AND SPEECH Under the direction of Miss Minnie Onsrud and Miss June Probstfield the speech and dramatic work began early last fall with the senior girls’ speech program on October 22 and culminated with the senior play on SENIOR GIRLS’ SPEECH PROGRAM This program was held Wednesday evening, Octo- ber 22, in the high school auditorium and was di- rected by Miss Probstfield. Arms for the Love of America — a vocal solo by Inga Martin, accompanied by Ilene Fuller. The Bardess of Peopod County — Florence Grenz. A piano duet — Ilene Fuller and Ruby Sprouse. Alice’s Blue Gown — one-act play — Virginia Mat- theis, Gladys Wahl, Lois Coleman, Ilene Fuller, Hilda Quashnick, Edna Klipfel, Ruth Ofstedal and Doris Gee. My Sister’s Best Feller — Ruby Beaver. San Antonio Rose — duet — Alice Klein and Vir- ginia Mattheis accompanied by Ruby Sprouse. Hitchhikin’ Ain’t No Fun — Maralyn Bowerman and Eva King. This play concerns a 16-year-old girl who gets involved in a subversive plot to blow up a munitions plant.
