JOHN LaBOMBARD MELODY TROMBLEY ALLAN BILOW SHARON McMAHON DAVID NORTON JOY DEMARSE We welcome you to Ellenburg Central School. This is our first day here. IN MEMORIAM Miss Katie White, a recently retired teacher in the Ellenburg Central School System, passed away on November 7, 1960. Miss White, who had devoted nearly half a century to the educa- tion of the boys and girls in our community, brought both understand- ing and knowledge to the many who were associated with her. Her devoted interest to her profession and affairs of the community will be greatly missed. DEDICATION Mr. William Patnode’s efforts toward a central school became a reality in 1939. Since that year he has served as President of the Board of Education in the Ellenburg school district. In gratitude for his individual service and deep understanding, we sincerely dedicate to Mr. Patnode this, our 1961 Golden Eagle. TO: The Class of 1961: We have been pleased with your accomplishments during your school years here at the Ellenburg Central School. Now you leave us to take your rightful place in the world, at one of the most interesting and challenging times in the history of man. During times like these, I urge you to build your life upon: (1) a proper sense of values, (2) poise, and (3) personal efforts. As you grow you will realize that a strong personality is more valuable than material wealth and that success will come to you only through your own efforts. My heartiest congratulations and my sincerest best wishes to you, the Class of 1961. Most sincerely, I WILLIAM FRITZ PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE Superintendent of Schools District Principal DR. JOHNW.
