SOPHOMORE CLASS HISTORY In the fall of h9 thlrteen students entered E H S as sophomores. Two of these, Pearl Cheever and Joan Alld r1dge, started the f1rst grade together 1n Elkton Pearl moved away durlng that f1TSt year In the th1rd grade Janlce Glll, and 1n the fifth Carol Fallert and Glen Hahn, began attending Elkton Grade School In the slxth grade Pearl re- turned and Mur1el Cornwell and Wanda Compton moved into the dlstrlct Andy Anderson, Leland Cheever, Joan Prlce, and Dolores Knypstra jo1ned thls group ln the seventh grade. Roger Owen came at the second semester of the elghth grade Solan Collman, James Hamrlck, Thelma Thompson, Gene Jackson and Robert Thompson were added to the class to make seven teen freshman Solan Collman, Gene Jackson, and Thelma and Robert Thompson moved away later 1n the year Th1s left thlrteen to start the sophomore year Roger Owen moved away soon after school started In December Glen Hahn Jolned the leaves us wlth a class of ten, two boys and elght glrls All of the sophomores took part 1n sports durlng the1r freshman and sophomore years w1th the following people w1n nlng letter awards dur1ng the freshman year Janlce G1l1, Carol Fallert, Murlel Cornwell, Pearl Cheever, Dolores Knyp stra, Joan Alldrldge, and Leland Cheever.
