Our com- bined record was 13-6. The girls showed a great deal of improvement throughout the season. Our eighth graders showed great leadership and determination in their games. They were very helpful and encouraging to the seventh grade players, who did an excel- lent job of filling in during eighth grade games. This group of young ladies showed that they have a lot of talent. With continued determi- nation and dedicated practice, they will have a bright basketball future. Fall 13

They showed a lot of talent, desire, and enthusiasm. Their record was good because they worked hard in practice and in the games to pull out victories. There was improvement from the beginning of the season to the end, especially when one player was moved to varsity. Let's Isten now. girls!! Allison Lamp. Holy Lange Front row Irene Gebhart. Jennifer Bauer. JoAnn Broder- sen. Amy Fuhr. Tina Knutson Girls Cross Country: This years team is proof that when a team sets high goals and becomes dedi- cated to those goals, great things can happen. The girls won four championships, including the confer- ence championship. They were runners up three times and finished seventh in the state meet. I am proud to have been the coach of these girls. The seniors will be missed next year and at the same time, the future looks good because of the younger people who will be back. If next years people will set their goals as high, I believe that what they set out to do this year will be accomplished. Boys Cross Country: As a team we got off to a poor start. We lost two runners because of illness or injury for the season. Even though things did not go as I had hoped there were some good things that hap- pened. We had our top varsity runner go under 18:00. We also had our top junior varsity runner win the conference. This years team kept the hope alive for next year. I know that the runners are the only ones that understand what I just mentioned, but for that reason, I am proud of them. The 1987 state CC qualifiers. back row: JoAnn Br Oder sen.
