With only five lettermen returning, the Elkton football team finished the season with a disappointing 2-7 record. The Elks played two of their poorest games against Willow Lake, and Doland during the season. However, the Elks defeated their arch-rival, Deubrook, which is always a sweet victory. Elkton was led offensively by Brad Heesch with 421 yards rushing in 109 carries. Craig Biggar led in passing with 51 completions in 112 attempts for 600 yards. Defensively, Craig Biggar had an outstanding year with 130 tackles. Mike Ponto and Craig Biggar were named to the all-conference team, (pictured at right) Though we will miss our five Seniors, who contributed greatly to the team this year, the coaching staff and team are enthusiastically looking forward to next year with the return of fifteen lettermen.
