BOYS CROSSCOUNTRY TEAM SUFFERS MANY BLISTERS From left to right-Coach Terry Vincent, Ryan Magnus, Mitch Magnus, Tom Gebhart, Tom Stuefen, Kerry DeVries, Chuck Lorden, Steve Kuehl, Ervin Gebhart, Everett Gebhart, David Theede. This year the cross-country team consisted of 1 senior, 3 juniors, 2 sophomores, and 4 freshman. It was a team of much experience, and has great potential coming back next year. The team placed third in the EDC Meet, fourth in Region competition with Kerry DeVries, Tom Stuefen, Ervin Gebhart and Chuck Lorden, and twelfth in the State Meet with Everett Gebhart running in place of Ervin. The girls cross-country did very well this year. They participated in meets at: Lake Benton, placing second; Arlington, placing second. The team placed second out of twelve in the Region meet, which was held at James Valley. It was here that Marcene Otten, Cindy Finley, Lisa Bauer and Glenda Van Dyke qualified to go on to State to get twelfth place out of the 32 teams that were running.
