HOMECOMING Lord Jon - Lady Joyce Dyane McDowell, Rudie Engelbrecht, Kay Klosterman Joyce Baker and Jon Boelens were elected Lady and Lord of the 1954 Homecoming at Elkton High which took place October 8. Homecoming activities began with a snake dance and free movie Thursday evening, October 7. The program Friday began with a torchlight parade by the student body to escort the players to the football field for the game. The Freshman Class presented a skit between halves. Other en- tertainment consisted of musical numbers by Joan Ponto, Jim Luze, JoAnn Bartelt, Peggy Heesch, and Jean Blomgren. Shirley Kramer was accompanist. Elkton lost the football game to Rutland by a score of 20-19. After the game there was a dance at the Elkton auditorium for students and alumni. 26
