Beverly Heesch It's nice to be nice when you're naturally nice. She took part in FHA, journalism, cheer- leading, glee club, band, and phys. ed. She was on the Elk-O-Gram staff, a librarian, queen candidate and homecoming attendant. Colleen Heffeman Music and love make her life complete. She was outstanding in music having participated in glee club and band. She was in the octet, and did solo work. Colleen also took part in FHA, journalism, library, declam, dramatics, phys. ed., and was a class officer and student coun- cil member. Rose Marie Howell Intelligence brings her envied grades She participated in journalism, dramatics, glee club, and phys. ed. She was also librarian and hot lunch helper. Audrey Karstens A friend in need is a friend indeed. She attended Brookings High School for one year. She was active in journalism, library, phys. ed., and FHA. Pete Kelly The best things come in small packages. Pete has taken part in basketball, football, track, FFA. band, and journalism. He was in the class play, a king candidate, president of E club, a class officer, member of student council, and attended Boy's State. Marvin Kick Work has made this man lean. He attended Brookings High School for two years. He took part in FFA, football, and basketball.

Dick Bartelt Noted for his wit and his charm with the opposite sex. He has participated in basketball, football, track, FFA, journalism, and declam. He was in the class play, mixed chorus , mixed octet, a reporter of the E Club, a king candidate, class officer, and a member of the student council. Dorothy Bebensee Bubbling over with good humor. She has taken part in FHA, glee club, phys. ed., journalism, dramatics, and library. She was also an office helper and hot lunch helper. Mary Ann Burlage Late hours are not good for one, but they are alright for two. She was active in band, FHA, journalism, class play, glee club, phys. ed., and library. Eldon Ekberg Intelligence, a mark of distinction. He attended Gayville High School three years. He was outstanding in music, taking part in mixed octet, boys octet, mixed chorus, band, trio, quar- tet, and solo work. He took part in football, basketball, track, declam, dramatics, and FFA. Eldon was a member of G Club, E Club, student council, and was a class officer, and busi- ness manager of the Annual. He attended Boy's State, and has received a Scholastic Award. Roma Fulmer Leadership is an admirable quality. She took part in FHA, journalism, phys. ed., dramatics, class play, and library. She was co-editor of the Elk-O-Gram, class president, studenl council secretary, and office helper. Carolyn Halstead Her sense of humor brings her many friends. She took part in phys. ed., FHA, journalism, and library. She was class president, member of the student council, and in the class play.
