I chose the cover to this book as a symbol of enduring beauty. The Rubies will not alter, significantly. We can, in years to come, gaze upon them, seeing them precisely as we now do. But, with the passing of time our lives must change, our memories will fade. In time, our high school days will occupy only a minute portion of our memories. Hopefully, this book has captured a portion of your life that change will blur but not wipe out. And, that later, as you look back on these pages, the memories will once again come alive. Dee Dee, Lora, and Dean, Thank you's seem so inadequate. Your help and hard work made everything possible. And to you, HU.
