Ju 1011 K, W HE CLASS of l930 is nearing the end of its third year in 9 v Elko County H1 h School When we came as Freshmen fffg in the autumn of l926 we numbered sixty and were hailed AJ! have passed the Class of l930 has proved that it is a class of great quality as well as quantity There are fifty four members in the class this year Four of the boys have made the first basketball squad through most of their high school career These four boys are ess Goicoe chea ohn Nichol Earl Paul and Donald lVlclVlurtrey ohn Nichol was captain of the basketball team this year and ess Goicoechea was president of the Block E. Society The junior Class has played a lar e part in the Student Gov ernment of Elko H1 h School ess Goicoechea and ohn Nichol were Supervisors for the past year and Ted Carville was elected udge The juniors also have always been leaders in Debating and Forensics Several of the unior Class have been honored by De Laureola and a lar er number entered De Laureola at the midyear init ation The present members are Hayden Henderson Alice Batchel der Herbert Swinburne lVlar1eva Westfall Robert Westfall Marjorie Dysart Hope ulnn Kenneth Luce Ted Carvllle Angelina C-ialy Lois Hayes Carol Scott Theresa auregui Ethel Bellinger Grace Amonette Henry arvis Harriet Wri ht Antoine Primeaux and lrwin Ro ers. At the beginnin of the past year the uniors met and elected their class officers. Ted Carville was elected President' Herbert Swinburne Vice-president and Glendon Walther Secretary. These officers have served us very capably in the past year and much credit is to be extended to them. Herbert Swinburne is leavin us to graduate at the end of his third vear. We wish him luck.
