Milton Hamilton is our class valedictorian, Milton has made an excellent record all through high school, having held a high average during his full four years' sojourn in ltllkins High School. On February I, lit-til. he was appointed to the West Point Acad- emy. Thus we have another honor clialked up to the credit of this young man, The stafif joins the student body in wishing him much luck. Donna Jeanne Van Scoy, class salutatorian. has run a close second to Milton. ln fact she has one of the highest averages for any high school student to have graduated from our institution. This speaks highly also for our valedictorian. To her go our best wishes. Robert Irwin. the Hrst All-State football player from our school in several years. is also outstanding in other athletic circles. ln addition to this lioh, as he is familiarly known, is a good student and a depends alile friend. Ralph lVilntoth is serving his first year as drum major of Elkins lligh. but the work is not new to Ralph as he served in the same capacity in our junior high school. I-Imnia Mae Stalnaker, our diminutive but vivaeious cheer leader. did a splendid jolt of leading her flock. lt is too early to deter- mine the honors she may receive in Tour- naments as they were held too late for our Tiger publication. The six young ladies in a row are the spon- sors for the Elkins High band. Reading from left to right they are Jane Taylor. Jane Darden.
