ADMINISTRATION OF RANDOLPH COUNTY SCHOOLS At the head of the schools 1n Randolph County there IS a board of educatlon composed of live members elected by popular vote From Ellclns we have Mr Albert Mr Shreve and Mr Rlflle from M1ll Creek Mr Downs and Mr Bosworth Under the superv1s1on of these men there are ten h1gh schools Eve of whrch are first class m rank There are a total of 1436 hlgh s hool students IH the county 749 of these go to Elkms Hugh School Work1ng w1th th1s board and carry1ng out to the best of the1r ab1l1ty the1r plans and the1r w1shes are three other men Mr Bryan Ham1l ton the supermtendent of the Randolph County Schools Mr K1rk land S McKee pr1nc1pal of E kms Hlgh School and dlrector of h1gh schools 1n Randolph County and Mr Henry Hamllton pr1nc1paI of the Elklns un1or H1gh School and dlrector of elementary schools 1n Randolph County Not1ceable 1mprovements have been made 1n many phases of school ent pos1t1ons The h1gh school bu1ld1ng at M111 Creek IS now modern and well equ1pped the construct1on of a new bu1ld1ng at P1cIcens w1ll be begun th1s summer and the plans for a consoI1datecI school at the Tygarts Valley Homestead are completed A unlform course of study for the h1gh schools of the county and a new musrc program for grades four to e1ght are outstand1ng among the rmprovements made 1n the curr1culum Two departments of our school have profited by Mr McKee s zeal to get the best for us We now have as hne a stadlum as any school 1n the state and an 1ndustr1aI arts department that IS equlpped to gxve the boys the practlcal worlc they need A D RRI I1 H N Page II ' . , .
