In 1945, a baffled group of boys and girls entered the doors of E.H.S. to start a new phase in their school career. We went to work and elected Mr. Studeville and Mrs. Denson as our sponsors and our class officers as follows: President . . . . OSCAR WARREN Vice-President . . ALTON CHAPMAN Sec.-Treas. . . . MARGARET SHAW Reporter . . . WANDA McCANN We chose Ola Pearl McCracken as our candidate for Queen of the High School. We are proud to say that she won fourth place. We have had very little excitement this year, except for a few class parties. Later, we chose Wanda McCann and Arnold Ray as the favorites of our class. We have enjoyed being Freshmen and as we hand the title on down to the coming class, we are hoping they will find it as pleasant as we have. We are planning to be Seniors in '49, and we are sure that if we try to cooperate with our teachers, we will be able to reach the goal. Wanda McCann Margaret Shaw
