fwffdww We, the Seniors of '46, entered high school in 1942 to begin our careers here. As Freshmen, we elected Gwen Link as Presi- dent and Miss Henearling as sponsor. For the Sophomore year Joyce Parker was elected President, and Coach Fitts was unanimously voted sponsor. Nancy Grigsby was the candidate for Halloween Queen, and we are happy to say it took the Seniors to beat us. During the Junior year, Ruby England was President and Miss Richey sponsor. Our candidate, Ruby England, won the Queen's race, and we were really proud that a Junior should reign as Queen of Elkhart High. 'The Junior-Senior Banquet this year was one of the best ever given at llkhart. This year, as Seniors, we elected Juanita Davie as President, and Hrs. Miers was unanimously voted sponsor. Jonel Edmondson was elected as Queen candidate, and this was the second consecu- tive year the Queen was from our class. The Seniors were in charge of the Press Club with Mrs. Hawthorne as sponsor, and the Annual under Mrs. Miers' leadership. Plans are under way for our class play and our senior trip. As commencement exercises draw near we Seniors wish to express our deep appreciation to the faculty and Board of Trustees for their leadership and guidance during our days at B.H.S. Darwin L. Gilmore
