As Freshmen, the present Iuniors of F H Q were a baffled bunph of kids Not knowing the ropes, this group had few events of imnortanef in 1941 42 except a few parties held in the school gvmnasium Now when they became Sophomores, their good times began, so under the sponsorship of Mrs Garner, the class en1oyed a hay ride picnic and a movie one moonlight night The class also made a good representation in the queen's race and other school drives These students furnished much of the talent in the School at War programs to encourage the sale of War Bonds and Qtamps As Juniors of 1948 44 this class has had many new and difficult finance the school annual ani thf lunlor Senior hinquet e lxss worked lard and in the years to tome thex will remember the good tim s had during this year The class officers are Wanda Garrison, Presldenr LaVerne Montgomery, Vice President, and June Greer Qecretary Treasurer IUNV GREER 0 Q fl responsibilities laid on their shoulders. N P L Take the Iunior play of '44 and you will see the return of real Wcornn to the amateur when WH1llb1lly Courtshipn blazed across the stage as a big success Luke Stilsby, Oran Gentry, and Emmy Peppin, Bobbie Hawthorn were in love After all, even hillbillies can do that A fued be tween Pappy Stilsby and Ma Peppin, played by Marion Hortman and Bobbie Miers, kept them apart Matters became even more complicated when the village nitwit wash Ieddo, portrayed by HBugsN Price, writes to the weddin' buree for Ma and Pappy a mate but encloses Luke and Emmy's picture in the letter' A hilarious mix up resulted when, in answer to the requests at the wedding bureau, come the Italian lover, Louis Cattero, played by Billy Quarles, and the wild Irish Rose, Bridget 0'Flannigan, played by Qwen Link In the middle of all the confusion are the Triffets, Lulu and larks, who made good on the radio, are under the management of their Jewish Manager, Sol Silverstein Winston Turner took the role of Sol Althougz confusion ran rampant throughout the three acts, mat ters were finally settled and the marryin' parson, Darwin Gilmore, made everyone happy in the end It was a very well portrayed play, full of fun and good acting FIRST ROW Gwen Link, Bobbie Hawthron, Eleanor Totty SECOND ROW Billy Quarles, Dawin Gilmore, Jo Warren, Winston Turner, Miss Link BACK ROW Marion Hortman, Oran Gentry, Bobbie Miers, Bugs Price J U I 0 R A Y Y ' 9 , 3 Seedie, played by Eleanor Totty and Jo Warren.
