the house. The last letter is an invitation to a party Kathy Lobb, Sue Hefron, Connie Con- verse, and Holly Gotts are having. It seems like those four are always having a party. As the limousine rolls along the streets of Elk Rapids, it passes Boals, Holbrook, Greiner, and Davis, Incorporated, one of the nation's leading manufacturers of athletic supporters. No wonder, it's Presidents Tim Boals, Jeff Holbrook, Mark Greiner, and Bob Davis, they're old jocks themselves. Looks like a new building going up in Elk Rapids. A super-modern hospital to be built by John Banwell Construction, where Debbei Stites will be the head nurse., Right next door will be the new pharmacy, one more of Linda White's nation-wide chains. This one is going to be managed by Banwell's wife, Lorri Hatch, Dar- lyn Lane, and Val McClintock will be working there too. The limousine has to stop to let Tim Galligan's train pass. Seems he's now driving trains instead of hitting them. As they drive by motorcycle cop, Eric MacLeod they beep the horn. Oh, oh, it looks like Mike Hockstad's car they're searching. Well, finally Mr. Thibert arrives at the reunion. He tells the chauffeur to get gas while he's inside. Today's Tuesday, so the chauffeur goes to Flagship Auto Service which is managed by Bob Buchholz, Dennis Redman, and John Newhouse. He usually gets gas at Riverside Collision from Ken Hollenbeck, but on Tuesday Flagship has the special. After getting gas the chauffeur stops for a pack of cigarettes at A 8a L Village Market. He pays Karen Dillon, the check out girl then has carry-out Gary Wilson take them out to the car. He has a few hours to kill until he picks up Mr. Thibert so he drives down to' the harbor to watch the boats. There's famous water skier Jim Nichols putting on a water show. Farther out the submarines are bringing in Navy officers Lenny LaLone and Mike Fegan. Over on the dock is Colleen Clark waiting for the marines. Meter maid Eleanor Finch reminds the chauffeur that he must pay for parking. So, as he decides to cruise downtown he passes Nancy Haller's Bank, First National of Elk Rapids, where Catherine Bechill and Marge Downey work as tellers. Right next door is Pattie Norton and Sandy Powell's bar, the New- Aces. lt's finally time to pick up Mr. Thibert so the chauffeur drives back to the Sip 85 Bite. On the way there he drives over the new suspension bridge built by engineer Jon Anderson where he passes Barry Cole on his way back to California. Mr. Thibert is very happy and on the way home he talks about the reunion. lt seems the food was all provided by class members. Bill White donated the beef while Arlen Hol- lenbeck donated all the apples the class could eat. Journalist Beth Anderson promised to give the reunion a big front-page write up in her paper. Entertainment was furnished by Betsie Shumsky and Nancy Loper, who performed a Pom Pon routine while the brother and sister singing team of Jenny and Jerry Orr performed a medley of their hit songs. There was complete attendance except for Jon Rust who couldn't leave his mission in New Guina and Steve Shockley who is skiing in Colorado. Oh, and Marie Bussa wasn't able to make it either. Seems Marie is busy working in Disneyland impersonating Mickey Mouse. Yessir, it was a great 75th birthday for Mr. Thibert. He can hardly wait to do it again.
