Mary will crown her newly chosen successor. Mike Heimos presents the Queen's crown. Coronation took place on October 3, 1969, at 1 P.M. A darkened gymnas- ium set the scene for the solemn occa- sion. The moment was tense as the sergeant-major announced the regi- ment's decision. Queen Cathy Ellery was crowned by the 1968 Homecoming Queen Mary Shea as her court Denise Augustine, Lynn Leopardo, Carol Maier, and Pat Paleczny looked on. Chosen as escorts were Jim Camp- house, Ron Fink, John Flesch, Denny Rambo, and Bill Tews. Freshman pages were Anjenette Serges and Gary Lundeen. HOMECOMING 185
