NP With the inexorable passage of time, change in countless aspects of our lives inevitably occurs. Technological discoveries, inventions, and increased knowledge of our material environment all are reflected in a cause change in our way of life. There is, however, a spirited area in which the old fashioned-and yet always new fashioned-rules and attitudes have not and will not change. Honesty, kindness, tolerance, and iust plain love of his fellow man are qualities important to mankind's progress far beyond the material things of life. We're dealing honestly with everyone, iudging with kindness, being tolerant of others who are different in race, thought or creed and recognize that love of one's fellow man is infinitely more powerful for good than all the armies ever created, then, we shall have taken tremendous stride toward humanity's long sought goal of world peace and friendship. To you, ELK STAFF MEMBERS, and to the students of Elk Grove Union High School, falls some of the responsibility now and in the future to fight with the unchanging weapons of honesty, kindness, tolerance, and brotherly love toward mankinds goal of peace. bleu?
