MASS PRIIPHHIY Last month I, Martha Jo Davidson, decided to take a few days off from work to go to Wyoming to visit with Lorraine Denton, she has a ranch there, She always wanted to raise white faces, but has settled for Angus cattle. Carmen Wassom, who always lived in the country and knew quite a bit about ranching is Lorraine's foreman, And what a foreman she is! Wow, she has those cowboys running in circles. Just last week I read where Mr. Raymond Goble had just taken a series of films on Lorraine's ranch and of her cattle. On the way to the bus depot I passed a park, and who should I see sitting there on one of the benches but Bill Imhoff, I stopped a minute to talk with him, He told me he started out west a few years ago but never made it, because he fell in love. Then the girl married someone else, and he couldn't stand it so he joined a lonely hearts club, Jim Vaughn is a member, too. In fact, Jim is the president of the club. Before getting on the bus, I purchased a map so I could see what route we were taking. I noticed that the map was one of the Ir, Davis maps. Seems Ir. liked making maps in Mr. Edmond's Ameri- can History class and decided to go into the business. As I was getting on the bus, Marcilee Furnas was getting off. She was just coming home for a vacation from her job of milking rattle snakes down in Florida, she told me. On the bus I met Larry Mills, He was on his way to Salt Lake City to build a new home: he had retired from the navy and has a very prosperous business at Salt Lake. He runs a boat dock, The reason he chose Salt Lake was because, after all his navy experience, he had never learned to swim, However, he loved to be around water, so he chose Salt Lake because you can't drown there, He had been back here visiting with his cousin, Wayne Chism, who is in a home for the feeble minded. Seems he waited and waited for a young lover and finally she ran off with someone else. He has improved some over the past few months and they are letting him take care of the flower gardens. Larry also told me that he had traveled in China while he was in the navy and while there met ' Jerry Welch and his wife the former Deloris Seller. They are missionaries there. Can you believe it? The bus stopped off in Denver for a lay over. While there, I went into a cafe and who should I see there but Kay Keath, She told me, that she was always determined to go to California even if she had to walk. She made it this far and liked it so she started a chain of cafes, She also told me that Katherine Lombard was in Colorado. She is a mining engineer in one of the silver mines. She always was good with figures. Kay also told me that Ronald Burns was making the headlines in all the papersg seems he always wanted his name in the papers with three names instead of two, so he started setting buildings on fire and finally his name appeared in the papers as: Ronald Burns Buildings , I just heard that Leo Glass is now playing in a great play in New York, or didn't you know th-at Leo took up acting? Well, he did and his favorite type of plays are the Shakespearean plays, It seems funny doesn't it that Leo would take up acting after disliking to be in those plays we put on in our Senior year back in 54. It seems that Leo fell in love with acting and got in touch with one of his classmates who loved acting very much. Yes, Leo and Patsy make a good team on Broadway, Are you wondering what became of Thurman? Don't get excited, he and Pat got married and they have the cutest kids down on their farm in Tennessee, The name of their farm is Taylor's Goat Farm . Patsy just couldn't bear to give up acting so she flies back and forth each week on the Coun- cil Invented It air-line, Yes, Larry Council invented a new plane which will soon be flying all about our planet and others as well. I understand that he got the floor plan from the E. C. H.S. Office floor which he studied for about four years while waiting for Mr, Edmonds to show up. Larry Council and Max Bryant were pretty close competitors for several years in the inventing business but Max spent so much of his time sleeping that he missed out on some of the most vitally important developmentsg just as he missed out on breakfast on our Senior Skip Trip back in 54. ' Max gave up the idea and now he has gone into the business of raising eagles out on his farm which is known as The Beak . Well, now I am on my way back to my home down in Virginia, I must get busy now with my writing, which is what I do for a living, I'm the editor of the magazine, Scatter Brain , YEAR 1969 43
