The guidance counselor administers many tests, gives personal counseling to many students, gives academic counsel- ing to students who have not decided upon a college major, and administers the financial aid program and the stu- dent employment program. GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING Students receive advisement from both a guidance counselor and from academic advisers. Students who know their college majors are assigned to academic advisers. Close attention is given to make certain that each student takes the appropriate courses for transfer to the college or university of his choice or for proper completion of an Associate Degree.
