Cunningham .Nancy Nusz ADVISORS —Miss Brandenburg Mrs. 0‘Brian Delta Sigma Chi’s purpose is to promote learning, to foster school spirit and community service, and to develop moral character and social fellowship. To fulfill this purpose, the sisterhood participated in the following ac¬ tivities. The first and most important activity of the sorority this year was decorating for the Christmas Dance. Delta Sigma Chi also helped sponsor the LBKD, helped serve the blood donors when the Bloodmobile was at E.C.C., and helped at the measle clinic. The sorority also took baskets of food to needy families at Thanksgiving. At Christmas, the girls took gifts and fruit to the Hardin County Rest Home, as well as having a Christmas Party for themselves. 26

Jackie Carter Sandy Mclntire The purpose of Kappa Phi Kappa is to serve the community to the best of their abihty by upholding the ideas of sisterhood, femininity, and by Chris¬ tian morality. The sorority participated in several community activities by giving Thanks¬ giving favors to the hospital; by serving refreshments for the outpatients at the TB Clinic; by giving a Christmas party to the hearing center, and by giving a Christmas party for the soldiers at Ireland Army Hospital. Kappa Phi attended a retreat at Otter Creek, held a style show to establish a scholarship fund, and had a slave sale and a rummage sale to raise money. 27
