3ln Jftlemoriam Elder Samuel H. Hertzler, President of the Board of Trustees, passed to his reward on Saturday, March 7. 1936. To us he was better known as Uncle Sam, ' ' the friend and lover of youth. Though a man of over four score years he possessed the zest of youth in his study of student problems and was ever sympathetic in his attitude toward the student body of the college. We shall remember him for his homely wit, his fatherly counsel, his genial and friendly disposition, and his radiance of soul.
