Cullen We choose for our theme the virtues ofa woman we have all come to know and love during our four years - Mother Elizabeth Seton. lt is timely that we do so this year, the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Mother Seton Clubs, begun by another woman of inspired vision and talent- Mother Claudia, beloved Superior General of our teachers, the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill. Touched by God's all powerful grace, Elizabeth Seton was first a mother, then a convert, then the foundress of the first American community of religious women, then the first organizer of parochial education in our country. We pray that soon the most glorious of all firsts will be added to her name - the first American to be declared a canonized saint.
