Senior Class History In the fall of 1954 there were thirty Seniors who entered the doors of E. H. S. We had lost four of our classmates during the summer. They were: Nancy Chap- man, Helen Schaible, John Schulte, and Leslie Johnson. Mr. Carroll, our class adviser, helped us along successfully for our last year in school. We enjoyed a Christmas party given for the high school. Our class had a number of bake sales, sold at basketball games and had a few Work Days to earn funds for our Senior trip. We received our graduation pictures at Christmas time. Ruth Holland left our class in February. On April 29, we gave our Senior play Seventeenth Summer . On May 7, we enjoyed the Prom given for us by the Juniors. The theme was Evening in Paris . Then on Sunday, May 8, we left for Chicago to take our train trip to New York. After four days of seeing the sights, we returned to Iinish our school work. On May 22, we marched solemnly into the auditorium for Baccalaureate Ser- vice. We enjoyed the Graduation Dance May 26, and the next evening received our diplomas at the Graduation Exercises. This was the last of the wonderful times we twenty-nine would enjoy together as classmates. Janaan Madigan, Historian. I 1 t Qi
