CLASS HISTORY At first the infant -thus we began the long climb which has brought us to the top rung of the ladder of education. Our first step was in the year 1933 when we entered the time-worn Primary School on Dyer Street, most of us tugging on the skirts of our mothers, without whom we would never have ventured into such a vast new world. VVe soon learned that teachers are just as friendly as parents, and began enjoying school life. Nlost of our elementary years were spent in moving. YVhen the old Primary School was condemned while we were in the second grade, we moved into the S. L. Sheep School. There we felt quite lost among such older who somewhat resented our intrusion. Later that same year we moved Primary School. Soon we were busy at work on the primary operetta, T Bev. Back into the grammar school for the fourth grade, we began taking part in the annual production of the Dixie Land fllinstrel. In the sixth grade our school building was again condemned and we moved into high school. The next year we were in Complete charge of The S. L. Sheep Ne-zcy. Our class gave an operetta, The Uutlma' King, instead of the usual minstrel. After being in high school for over a year, entering it as freshmen was scarcely different from the year before except for the painting up we received by the sopho- mores. The next year was our turn at the deviltry and we certainly did our share. We soon began taking more active part in the activities of the school. Our junior year was spent in much hard work and many good times as we tried to raise money for the junior-senior dance. XVe sold magazines, presented a play. The Farmer's Daughter, and had a very successful junior carnival. The highlight of the year was our annual dance, which we held in the gymnasium and decorated elaborately. Last scene of all, that ends this strange, eventful historyn is our position as seniors. Into our hands have fallen most of the responsibilities of the school. VVe have success- fully edited The Loudspeaker and The Spotlight. YVe presented a play, Brother Goose. Soon we shall have, instead of the usual Class Night exercises. a May Day Festival, which will be carried out with all the pomp and glory of a royal court. Then follows the dignified capped and gowned procession-our last act together as a class- the finale of eleven nearly perfect years. Now we greet the future with determination that our teachers and all those that have helped us gain so much shall not be disappointed in us but proud of us-the Class of '-H. PEGGY CHESSON.
