First we found a spacious ground VVhereon to build a school or college, And so on far into the night We formed the steps to higher knowledge Our wisdom grew up like a tree Whose branches in the blue sky nested. Eager, strong our minds became As in our hands the future rested. But though we traveled far together Along the path of untold flight VVe ever strove to grasp and hold Those secrets that determine might.
