S. known as The News-Flash was created from an embryo stage immediately af- ter mid-term exams, January, 1934. It boasted of six out-of-state sub- scribers including one in Escalante, Utah, besides 200 local subscribers and the intra-state ones. The News-Flash was a weekly paper, printed mimeographically and in tabloid form, it consisted of five pages, on the average, and it was found to be full of sane, satirical and other elements necessary for the success of a school paper. This school project has proven to be a liquidative asset in connection with the financing of this year's annual and is considered not only a fi- nancial success but a literal financial triumph. The staff of this paper dedicate this year's school paper, The News- Flash, to our faculty advisor, Miss Matilda Etheridge, for whose untiring efforts and splendid spirit of co-operation we feel deeply indebted, and we feel that she nas, to a great extent, made this paper what it was during it's run of only four months. M. D. S., Editor-in-Chief. ---
