Twenty two Become One... That the World May Know $ Joy and anxiety filled the main auditorium as the third graduation ceremony held in the I. Q. Spencer Tabernacle began. Twenty two seniors marched in to “Crown Him With Many Crowns.” “By This Shall All Men Know” was sung by the senior class. Including the seniors who were po¬ sitioned in the middle of the group to form a cross, the traditional student body choir sang “The King Is Coming”. Valedictorian Dianne Srigley spoke on “Know¬ ing the Word of Life”, and salutatorian Phil Smith addressed the audience with “Praise to Christ as Lord.” Rev. Dennis Hunt, director of Elim City Training Center, used the life example of Lazarus to bring out the senior class theme, “One,... That the World May Know.” Two unusual combinations grad¬ uated: a father and a son, Harold and Tim McCown; and a husband and wife team, Jim and Carolyn Welton. Tears of retrospection and relief flowed as the attending parents and students congratulated the graduates on the front lawn.

•5- V % Former Students Welcome Seniors One hundred sixty former students enjoyed the “Scandinavian Holiday” decor of the annual Elim Former Students’ Association Spring Banquet held at the Honeoye Falls Central School. It was a time of refreshing, reuniting, and reviewing the past year’s events, sharing God’s blessings, dealings, and glimps¬ es of the future. Forrest Dodge, missionary to Colombia, South America, brought a message of “Living the Life”, followed with prayer for the seniors by Mom Spen¬ cer. In the annual business meeting, the E.F.S.A?ers decided to continue their project of improvement and repairs on College Hall. This project includes expanding the library and repairing classrooms for use. “The Choralaires,” under direction of Evelyn Connor, provided music for the occasion. Unforgetta¬ ble was Ernest TruOblood’s solo part in “To God Be the Glory.” Signifying unity, the candlelight ceremony be¬ gan with one lit candle. Then each senior lit his candle from it. The ceremony was also a reminder that “we are the light of the world.” Having wel¬ comed the graduating class into fellowship with open arms, the banquet ended in a note of praise. )
