Seniors Remember Skip-Weekend 72... ... backing down an exit ramp, only to have their five-car caravan stopped by the police. ...crawling up and down iced-over steps and walkways in Watkins Glen. ... seeing who could go the farthest on the all-weather toboggan slide at Pine Brook. ... “drowning” one another in the row boats. ... bowling, swimming, playing base¬ ball. ... fellowshipping in the evening meet¬ ings, especially Brother Trudell’s message on the ten virgins and oil: “giving place to the ministry of the Holy Spirit, so being ready with oil at His coming”. •5- V % Former Students Welcome Seniors One hundred sixty former students enjoyed the “Scandinavian Holiday” decor of the annual Elim Former Students’ Association Spring Banquet held at the Honeoye Falls Central School. It was a time of refreshing, reuniting, and reviewing the past year’s events, sharing God’s blessings, dealings, and glimps¬ es of the future. Forrest Dodge, missionary to Colombia, South America, brought a message of “Living the Life”, followed with prayer for the seniors by Mom Spen¬ cer. In the annual business meeting, the E.F.S.A?ers decided to continue their project of improvement and repairs on College Hall. This project includes expanding the library and repairing classrooms for use. “The Choralaires,” under direction of Evelyn Connor, provided music for the occasion. Unforgetta¬ ble was Ernest TruOblood’s solo part in “To God Be the Glory.” Signifying unity, the candlelight ceremony be¬ gan with one lit candle. Then each senior lit his candle from it. The ceremony was also a reminder that “we are the light of the world.” Having wel¬ comed the graduating class into fellowship with open arms, the banquet ended in a note of praise. )
