Elim Life is Prayer... We are the temple of God, and the glory of the sanctuary is prayer and worship. As the pressures of homework, exams, and other responsibilities begin to overwhelm us, we open the chapel doors of our hearts and God fills us with His glory. Prayer is the method, and praise is the mood of all issues of campus life. The burden of the Lord to our President is that Elim be a “house of prayer for all nations”. And the call of the Spirit this year has been intercessory prayer. In the midst of this fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit, we find that God is seeking worshippers and intercessors. America faces a crisis and God is looking for watchmen to inter¬ cede before His throne. On behalf of our nation, we have joined together in a twenty-four-hour-a-day prayer chain. As others catch the vision of the hour and pray, God will bring America to her knees once again. Faculty and students join in intercession for America. Prayer in anticipation of Student Ministry Sunday afternoon.

And a Little Fun.. There is a time to weep and a time to laugh , a time to pray and a time to play. We recognize the importance of a balanced life and find a release for our social needs as well as our spiritual needs. Many a lonely heart or hun¬ gry stomach will wander into the snack bar in search of a hamburger or co-ed to meet their needs. Young couples discover the romantic atmosphere of our newly finished student recreation room and join in a rousing game of ping pong, Chinese checkers, or maybe just get better acquainted. The excitement of Friday night basketball games provides a healthy workout for both players and cheering section. School outings at Letchworth State Park give us a chance to retire from our studies, relax, and enjoy God’s creation — climaxing in a time of fellowship and singing. A picnic at Niagara Falls, tobogganing at Mendon Ponds, or just an evening of fun, help to unite the class in joy and love. Social highlights of the year are the Thanksgiving Day dinner, Christmas party, and Junior-Senior banquet. M Letchworth State P a rk Diane Leon Bob Clark enjoy God’s first book. Happy Birthday, Tom and Candy ” I think Brand-X is better.” 26
