Elim Life is Most of us came to Elim expecting to feast on a one- course diet of “soul” food! But the classroom is not every¬ thing; Elim serves a full course meal. The Word of God is our meat and the trimmings include dorm duties, work scholarships, and campus days! Sometimes it all tastes like elbow grease, but still it’s better than leeks and garlic! The united effort of the Elim family is the essential mode of operation in all school functions. Elim is not merely an academic institution, but we are a working, moving, growing expression of the body of Christ. The Elim ex¬ perience is centered in God’s Word, but not confined to it. Spirituality and practicality must go hand in hand. God calls us to spend time on our knees seeking His will, and then we find ourselves doing His will on our knees — scrubbing the floor!
