Ivan Q Spencer Memorial Auditorium This multi-purpose structure houses an auditorium seat¬ ing 1,200, a nursery, audio-visual facilities and a 23- room dormitory on the ground floor. Due to an overflow student enrollment of 205 in Septem¬ ber ’71, our hearts were filled with praise to God for His timing in providing facilities that His purpose might be accomplished in the maximum number of lives. A fulfillment of a vision? Yes. But even more — the be¬ ginning of a fuller vision and expectation of God’s pres¬ ence to mould and train lives for service, until “the knowledge of the glory of the Lord shall fill all the earth.”

ADMINISTRATION shepherds of our souls BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION AND DIRECTORS: (Standing) David Edwards, Hugh Seager, Lloyd Moulton, (Sitting) Elden Mudge, Andrew Spencer, Helen Craven, Carlton Spencer, Elizabeth Spencer, James Powers. (Not shown, Chester Gretz, Costa Deir, Gerald Trudell, Paul Johansson, Dwight Niswander) OFFICE STAFF: B. Trudell, J. Conley, D. Weatherley, C. Schisler, H. Craven, K. Delaney, E. McKelvie. God is faithful to give us “pastors according to His heart”. His grace is daily manifested by those whom He has ordained as leaders among us. The desire of our ad¬ ministration, that the glory of God be revealed in us, stems from the heart of our Lord. And the only road to glory is mercy. Freshman orientation: we can remember the feelings of fear and trepidation when faced with ' the strict social regulations and heavy academic requirements. But soon we discover the divine principle of life: “except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone, but if it die, it beareth much fruit”. At Elim, death becomes the way of life. We learn to apply God’s mercy, die to our self-rule, and submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. When this truth is realized, streams of liberty flow through our souls, and we receive with joy and meekness the instruction, reproof,... and, yes, even the rules. The Elim faculty becomes a channel for God’s mercy.
