Council drives net money for charity M embers of the 1976-77 Elida High School Student Council, under the leadership of President Connie Holsclaw, Vice-President Darrell Bryan and Secre- tary-Treasurer Judy Bray combined their efforts to better represent the student body to improve student morale. The results proved to be successful. Some of the many projects included Homecoming, the Carnival Talent Show, and the March of Dimes Walk-a-thon. Samrocks for Distrophy proved profit- able for the Muscular Distrophy Drive. The Student Council sponsored the Student of the Month, now in its second year. Also, the Student Council started a scholarship fund for seniors who need financial assistance for college. Other activities included sponsoring the cheerleading clinic, the Bulldog trophy, and the Honor E awards assembly, plus being responsible for class elections and foreign exchange students as well as local student exchanges.
