60604 After crunsmg for 10 years about the planet earth as the fxrst man put into orbit I grew lonely and parachuted down When I was just about to hit the ground I was jerked to a sudden halt I looked up and saw that my para chute was caught rn the WIMA Radio Antenna, so while I waited for help I plugged in my pocket transistor to listen to some music The music was interrupted by the announcer Ray Sroufe fwho attributed his radio success to his excellent grades in speech at Elida Localj Ray began telling of an Afrncan tour leaving Lima Municipal Airport in approxrmately fifteen minutes Since I always wanted to go on a safari, I unsnapped my parachute and shmmed down the antenna After l arrived at the airport I joined the line to the ticket window, I looked through and there sellmg was no other than Jeanme Williams As I climbed up the ramp mto the plane I was greeted by a double hostess I mean twm hostesses, in fact, the Wade twms The twms took me to the front of the plane, to introduce me to the hostess of the WIMA tour As she said 'Meet Carolyn Musser, Easter Straker's fabulous replacement, I could easrly see why she had earned her job When Carolyn heard my story, she mvrted me to Join their tour I happily agreed to her offer and started to make myself acquainted with the passengers on the plane The fxrst seat was occupied by those two mrllionaire playboys, Larry Holler, and B111 Kline Seated on the opposite srde, was the winner of the Indranapolls 5O0 this year, Lee Bryan with his girl friend, Sue Chapman, holder of the women's dirt track record In the seats behmd the mlllionarres was a group of movle makers gomg to Africa to make the movie Last of the Mau Maus The theme song was to be sung by the smging lyre Mrss Joan Meyer, dubbed the last of the red hot Mau Maus Also In the group was Joan's cohorts the Blastones These three girls whose names are Karen Fair, Rrta Miller, and Conme Follas, had brought along with them thexr personal manager, the noted man about town, Mr Kenneth 'Barney Holtzapple The female lead of the movie was to be Joyce Glamor G1r Hollar Opposite her in the male role was the Rudy Vallee of today, Gary lover boy I-Iermon These two graduates often trymg to break into Hollywood for several years fmally went to one of the best promoters in the business and hlred h1m as their agent They immediately shot to the top under his drrectxon Fightm' Dave and his, OOPS' I forgot to tell you his name, naturally, we all remember him, F1ght1n' Dave Morris and his pokey personal secretary, Sharon Mrller fSha.ron slows Dave down to where he can work I Farther on down the arsle was a pair of honeymooning couples, SIGH what lovely looking matches Darrel Bowers and Judy Croft and Eldon Heatwole with the ex Helen Good Yes, life is grand' Suddenly the plane lurched and staggered, one of the motors was afire I rushed to the p1lot's cabm to check our position The pilot and co pxlot were sending out an S O S on our positron while the flight engmeer was trymg to fight the fire Yes just seeing the smooth co operation of these three leaders was satisfying Certainly no one can say that Dwam Metzger and George Ronald Shafer would be beat as pilot and co pilot, while therr hard workmg engineer, Denms was Dunk saying, right ln the middle of prnk petrrfymg pigmy count y When I awoke, I trred to move b t couldn t I was tied hand and foot I looked about and saw the rest of our group about me EGADS' What IS t IS dancing toward us?
