It proved quite exciting to all. To many, the high point of the year was receiving their class rings or the presentation of their class play, Meet Me in St. Louis. Others enjoyed the scrap drives, the cake rattles, or the Leap Year Dance, which the class sponsored to earn money for the Iunior-Senior Banquet. Betty Britenriker was chosen to attend the Homecoming Queen, and at the carnival the junior attendants, Ianice Miller and William Hatton, represented this class. Many junior boys participated in the various sports. Other students were active in band, music, or other organizations in the school. The students are very grateful to Miss Iones and Mr. This, their advisors, for their guid- ance through the joys and hardships of this most enjoyable year, and are now looking tor- ward to the final year at Elida High School. 21
