QLeft to Righty Lynn Garner designed Cover. Donna Miller, Cathy Lewis and Kim Coleman designed the division pages. Mr. Durst assisted with the copy and lay -out. This group, in fifth hour art class, wanted to work on lay-out. Most of the group became 'W ' too interested in the pictures to do lay-out and 5 , had fun for a week. 62

Student Council Installation of Student Council Officers of 1968-69 by 1967-68 Officers. -A-2 President - Fritz Dent Vice President - Greg Schober Secretary - Brandy Ford Parliamentarian - David Belding Sponsor - Mr. Durst. Eli Whitney's Student Council is com- posed of 46 homeroom representatives plus the four officers. Whitney's most active organization, it meets every Tuesday morning at 8:00. Some of this year's activities included the state convention, the Christmas and Valentine post offices, a mock election in November, publication of the student directory, door decoration contest, pep rally, foyer decoration at Christmas, initiation assembly with school satire program, the Miss Inventor assembly and several dress up days. Fritz Dent gives acceptance as President. Members of Student Council Mr. Durst thinks about council plans. 63
