30 The band started their year's activities by marching at the home football games. During the year the following concerts were given the annual Christmas program, a mid winter concert given on Sunday afternoon, a pre-contest concert for small groups and ensembles, a large group spring concert. The band also participated in the Fayette County Music Festival which was held at Fayette. Thirty six entrants took part in the small group contest at Tripoli four large groups were entered in the contest at Monona.
