HONIECOMITNG Once upon a-time, Elgin High School had a homecoming. The old woman in the shoe brought all the kids to the crowded assembly and then went to watch 'Little Red - Riding Hood' throughout Elgin in the famed parade. The Senior's Humpty Dumpty sat on his wall, this Humpty Dumpty was very, very tall, and all the se- nior women and all the senior men had kingsize fun building a float again. At half time of the football duwel, the pretty maids stood all in a row and Terry Lange proved fairest of them all. King John Pappas was selected to complete the reign- ing couple. The Maroons made the Tom- cats purr as they skinned them 28-20. In the gym where incredible dreams are frequent and impossible hopes come true, Cinderella watched with the Rub-a Dub- Dub men as young people enjoyed the fan- tasy of Homecoming Dance. Postponed to a later date, lots of seniors went up the hill at the annual Bar-B-Q. Many fell down, all were clowns, and each lived happily ever after. 8
