Willard Schuldt, 6-4 center and captain, was the only returning letterman from Coach John A. Kraftt's great team of last season that placed third in the state. Bob Zito, guard and a letterman, but on the reserve lineup last year, was the other player. Around these two KratTtkids Coach Chesbrough, making his first start as head cage mentor, built his team. Newcomers were Don Westphal, 6-2 marksman, and Bob Daly, 6-2 rebound artist, at forwards. ln the back court Dead-Eye Pete Kovacs, 6-l, with Bob Zito, superb dribbler and shooter, as guards, completed the playing combination. Top scorers for the season were Schuldt and Kovacs. High point was the Re- gional Tourney win.
