D. POWELL MRS. DRYSDALE K. CASTLE N. JENSEN Senior ' Class History The Class of '52 entered in lanuary 1928 with 1-16 freshmen and increased its num- ber in September to 420 students. Members of the class were found in all school activities, athletics, debates, and continually heading the honor roll. For the First time in history the freshmen defeated the sophomores in their annual debate. They also elected Donald Salisbury and Howard Schultz as Student Council members. ln the sophomore year the Council members were Donald Salisbury, Donald Cook, Ieanne Maclntyre, and Edward Afleld. Three of our members were on the varsity debate team. ln athletics six boys earned E's and seven girls received minor E's. I-lalf of their high school life over, the Class of '32 became juniors. They started the right way by electing Donald Salisbury president, Howard Schultz vice-president, and LaVon Ponsonby secretary. Their Hrst problem was solved by choosing blue and white for class colors. To aid the condition of the class treasury the play Babu was presented on May 21 and 22. As a climax to the social activities of the year, the Iunior Prom was a great success. ln September 1931 the Senior year was begun, and, to lead the way in the final spurt, they chose Donald Powell president, Nels lensen vice-president, and Kathryn Castle secretary. Donald Cook was elected president of the Student Council, and Edward Alzfeld, Edgar Post, Donald Powell, and lean Cook were representatives. The Fourth Wall, the Senior Class Play, presented on December 10 and 11, was a huge success. The Class was well represented in boys and girls athletics. Fred Nottolini captained the heavyweight football team during thc 1031 season. The Senior Prom on Iune 7 was a beautiful and memorable occasion.
