Mr. Athol Sayre Mr. James Anderson Dedication The Husky Tracks Staff would like to dedicate the 1969 edition of the Husky Tracks to Mr. Athol Sayre and Mr. James Anderson, to whom,we are especially indebted for the fine service they have given our school. Mr. Sayre has resided in Elgin and superintended Elgin Public Schools for ten years, in which time he has been an inspiration and example to his students. He performed his duties with competence and enthusiasm. He treated each problem as one that could be conquered and did, indeed, triumph over many these ten years. Each year, Mr. Sayre assisted in the progress of our school and grew with it. In all due respect, we acknowledge his ministration and thank him profoundly. In 1969 our basketball team went to the State Tournament in Pendleton! Our coach, Mr. James Anderson, was the reason. Without him, our Huskies could not have advanced so far. It was his wisdom and experience and perception that brought out the winning strength in our team. Not only in basketball, but in track Elgin made history. Three young athletes participated in the State Track Meet and used the skill and coaching Mr. Anderson gave them, to successfully represent our school. For an exciting and victorious year, we thank Mr. Anderson.
