MUSIC IIOTES HYes, music is the prophet's ar Among the gifts that God hath sent O e of the most magnificent ' Longfellow The music activities of the Eldred Central School were once again centered on the Chri tmas and Spring Concerts In the yuletlde program, the senior b1nd,g1rl's choir and the el ementary grades combined talents toward an evening of engoyable enter tainment, while in the equally successful spring program the above groups ere augmented bv the junior band and song flute and rhythm band groups Also included in the year's rusical actlvities was the presenta t on of the musical comedy, Waltz Tlme , and performances at the ann ual Oratorical Contest and Commencement Exercises In addltlon, a sizable group represented Eldred at the annual county music fe t val helc this year at Jeffersonvllle All the participants in the above act1vit'es, and especially so the members of the senior band and girl's choir deserve much credlt for their flne accomplishments during the year Led by band President Wavne wells and choir Presidert Doris Haas, both organizations main tained all year long a high level of applicatlon, per everence and nulne nesprit de corps Z1 Q9 Q Q71 STUDENT COUNCIL The fourth year of the Student Council began on lovember lst, 1950 The offlcers were as follows Wllliam Williams, Presldent, Joan Neiritz, Vlce Pre ident, and Marion Hulse, Secretary The Student Council has reinstated the Senior Priority Act, and once again there is a student court which has not been in se lon for the past year The maln offenses are PuDUlHf ln the halls, throwing exasers, and wr tlng on the walls ln the boys and girls rooms . .
