Dotty Adams is our most deserving president. Mcleansboro Tournament-we lost! F.H.A. has Come-As-You-Are Party. l'll bet some were a mess. A big welcome to Mrs. Edith Arensman who is taking Miss Wakeford's place on the faculty. Now we have four buses to go out simultaneously in all directions. Harrisburg Bullpups won over Eaglets in basketball game for March of Dimes. We're proud of our donations this year. Carrier Mills beat Eldorado 55-46 in basketball. What happened to our team anyway? Bulldogs take revenge. The score?-74-44. Back to winning again-this time 49-42. What a thriller! One point win for Galatia. Will your favorite be crowned the Basketball Queen? Teny Hill, Connie Kreuter, Mary Ann Flanders, Veva Nell Sutton and Phyllis Skelton are candidates. E.T.H.S, beat Carmi 49-37. Lost on a free throw-that was close! Mt. Carmel 63- Eldorado 62. - Miss Ruth Meridas of Salem brought her officers and came to speak with our Hi-Tri about the importance of Hi-Tri in high school girls' life. Defeated by Mcleansboro 65-46. We won our last game of the season with Fairfield 73-63. The season ended with success!! We were delightfully entertained today by the James Dutton Trio. Their selection included classics, semi- classics and popular numbers on marimbas, piano and Vibra-harp. Senior Class Play, Our Miss Brooks was a big suc- cess! We all knew it would be though, since there's so many teachers around to copy! And Queen Teny Hill! All we can say is the coronation was beautiful and she was lust darling! The beginning of track season. Good Luck, Boys!! A goal is achieved! The Hi-Y is now reorganized as a member of the National Movement of Hi-Y. Con- grotulations! Regional Tournament at Norris City. We lost to Harris- burg 6O-38 in semi-finals after beating Enfield 45-84. We are host to the Music Contest! So many people and so much good music! Our Queen, Teny Hill reigns over the Banquet and Dance honoring the basketball team. The gym was decorated-oh so pretty!! And that music-well, it was wonderful!! over McLeansboro E.T.l-l.S. 55-54 with Annual F.H.A. Style Show-We really have some beau- tiful models. Good as professionals. Music Contest for Glee Clubs and Bands. Were they scared? Who wouldn't be with all that sight reading! Career's Day carried on by Student Council. Eldoradq is host to Bi-County Meeting of Student Coun- cils. My, how we love to have guests! Hi-Tri Conference at Harrisburg. ,Mother-Daughter. Banquet. For ladies only! Hob-nob sponsored by 'Senldr Class. Those Seniors are really Hep this year! Junior and Senior Prom. This is what we've been wait- ing for all year and it certainly was a beautiful Prom. Thanks to all the Juniors from all the Seniors! State Music Contest. Of course we had entries. Old Rada is lust beaming with talent! Baccalaureate-Were those tears? Just ask anyone! Graduation! Well, Kids, it's all over and we all have so many wonderful memories. And now-who knows?!

No kidding! The beautiful Hi-Tri Initiation Ceremony and tea were held today. Lost another ballgame. This time to Benton-16-12. Faculty and Board of Education Banquet which is held annually for Thanksgiving. Basketball practice start- ed today. Good Luck, Boys!! Poor little iuniors took those big, old tests all day! My! Turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. Good old Mr. Barnes! Oh boy-a holiday-we love 'em. F.l-l.A. gave a Thanksgiving basket to a needy family which was repeated at Christmas. Something new-a Journalism Club organized and start- ed the school paper, Eagles Gazette. Boy, we're good! Won our first basketball game with Grayville 44-39. Hi-Y inaugurated coat check serv- ice at game. These kids love to be helpful. Great Pep meeting with band. Mr. Garner introduced our te-am. Football banquet. Mr. Scerial Thompson as speaker. New Co-Captains John Ed Gates and Arthur Herron. Good Luck next year, Boys! What's this he's got his nose stuck in? Oh, Look! First edition of Eagles Gazette. We won another ballgame. Hurrah! Benton is the unlucky loser 45-39. F.F.A. received plaque for good service and several members received medals. Bankers were our guests. Daddy Date Night for F.l-l.A. Oh-those proud papas! Won ballgame with Carmi 51-21. I told you we had a good team! Excitement? That's underestimating the Harrisburg-EL dorado basketball game which we won 42-35. What a wonderful team! We won again! Ridgway is the poor unlucky laser' 5!-40. Our first defeat! Tragic-59-53. Duquion is the lucky team. Christmas vacation is here again! Oh, joy! Glee Club and Madrigal gave us a good send off and of course there were parties. Such confusion! Dramatics Club gave a delightful play, Christmas for the Duchess. Harrisburg Tournament-we lost but in our way of thinking ---- . Sigh . . . back to drudgery! Gee, am I tired!! That New Year's Party. Out of school early because of weather. Everybody ran for the hangout. Another good program. Tuffet and Treave, the trained dogs, gave us a performance. Won over Norris City 46-32. This week the Ag boys and the F.l'l.A. girls exchanged to learn the others work. Money, Money, Money! Students gave generously to Red Cross. Bloom came down to defeat us in basket- ball 48-36. How do they grow 'em so big'??? A sympathetic student body sat in silence in memorial service to Miss Wakeford, Mr. T. Leo Dodd was speaker. We lost again-Galatia 68-63. What's everyone doing at home this week? Just study- ing for those exams again. What's everyone so nervous about anyway?? What a game! Johnston City beat us 55-54. Some games are exciting! Prizes are given to deserving students by W.C.T.U. for an Essay Contest. Officers elected for the new Teen Town. At last we've somewhere to go and we really appreciate it. A big
