BAND The E. T. H. S. band had one of its biggest years in l95l-52. During football season, the band executed formations on the field, played at all home games, and several pep meetings. In November the band was one of seven that participated in a Mu- sical Festival at Norris City and in May it attended another Festival held in Harrisburg. The District Contest, which was held at E. T. H. S., was perhaps the main event of the year for our Mu- sic Department. The Solos and Ensembles were here on March l5, with various Bands and Glee Clubs coming April 5th. Our director, Mr. Ed Creek, clos- ed the music department's school year with the annual spring con- cert of the Band and Glee Club.

GLEE CLUB With Mr. Ed Creek, Jr., as the director and Louise Auten as ac- companist, the Glee Club of E. T. H. S. has had a very successful year. The Madrigals and Glee Club have entertained at several civic programs as well as in the school. On November TO, they attended the Music Festival at Carbondale, where lOOO people sang under one director. For Christmas program they gave a concert for both the student body and the public. E. T. H. S. was privileged to be host to the District Contest on March I5 and April '5. Several en- sembles placed in the contest. lt has been said that the Glee Club was better than ever this year!
