Sports Review BASEBALL—1953 In the spring of 1953 the baseball games were very successful. Since we did not have an annual the year of ’52-’53, we thought we would publish their fine record in this year's annual. The tea'is won eight out of eleven games that season, and were sectional tourney champs. The follow- ing shows their good record. The girls were not too successful this year, but improved a little every game, and we expect swell games for our school next season. The boys’ basketball team won 5 out of 13 games this season. Most of Coach Jack Sapp's team were Freshmen and Sophomores, and were new at the business of playing basketball for high school, but there is a very promising team coming up.
